Zion Williamson Over 4.5 assists (+136)

I believe in point Zion. He has been operating as the ballhandler in plenty of pick-and-roll situations for the Pelicans offense recently, and the results have been fantastic. New Orleans has averaged an astounding 125.9 points per 100 possessions over their past 13 games, and a lot of that has been due to Zion.

Bets

He’s known primarily for his ability to finish around the rim – and he’s done plenty of that recently – but he’s also an excellent passer. He’s averaged 4.7 assists per game over that time frame, and he’s handed out at least five assists in back-to-back games. I would feel more confident grabbing the over on 3.5, but I don’t mind rolling the dice on a slightly higher number at better than even money.

Joe Ingles Over 3.5 rebounds (-106)

Mike Conley will get the night off for the Jazz, which means Joe Ingles should move into the starting lineup. He’s started six games this season in place of Conley, and Ingles has thrived in that role. He’s averaged 16.7 points, 5.0 assists, and 4.0 rebounds in those contests, so you can look at the overs on a few of his props today.

That said, my favorite involves his rebounding ability. Orlando is a mediocre rebounding team – they rank 14th in team rebound rate – so I think Ingles should be able to rack up at least four boards.

Anthony Edwards Over 18.5 points (-114)

This is admittedly a large number for Edwards, who is still just scratching the surface in terms of the type of player he can become. However, he’s going to have no choice but to carry a large workload for the Timberwolves moving forward.

D’Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley are both sidelined for the foreseeable future, and Karl-Anthony Towns is still not playing a ton of minutes after suffering from COVID-19. That leaves Edwards as the next man up. He’s increased his usage rate by +8.4% with Russell and Beasley off the court this season, and his usage rate of 33.3% is just slightly behind Towns’ mark of 34.8% for the team lead. Overall, Edwards has averaged 24.0 points per 36 minutes in that situation.

He’s also in a great spot from a matchup perspective. He’s taking on the Wizards, who rank first in the league in pace and 27th in defensive efficiency. That means the Timberwolves should be expected to score more points than usual, and Edwards should be at the center of that production.

Crack the twist-off and sit back for a six-pack of games on a Tuesday night in the National Basketball Association. The Wizards kick off the night hosting the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. ET, while a marquee matchup in the west features the Suns traveling to LA to match up with the Lakers at 10:00. Remember to lock those fantasy lineups early with the primetime hour starts.

Nba Player Prop Bets Today

Memphis Grizzlies Ja Morant vs. Washington Wizards

The Bet: Over 28.5 Points+Assists (-115)

In just his second season in the league, Ja Morant is becoming the Memphis Grizzlies leader. The reigning Rookie of the Year leads the team with 18.4 points and 7.7 assists per game and appears to be getting better and better. Morant has 20-plus points in five of his past ten and has averaged over 24 a night in those games. The Grizzlies point guard also has seven games of seven-plus assists over his past ten and has average nine dimes a game over that span, including a triple-double against the Thunder.

During his sophomore season, Morant has improved his points and assists numbers as well as field-goal attempts, three-point attempts, and free throws. With six double-doubles on the season, the 21-year-old is on pace to pass his 15 double-doubles from his freshman year. He’s put up many of his top games against much stronger defenses than Washington.

The Wizards are giving up the second-most points in the league, allowing almost 120 a game. Washington is also in the bottom-ten in three-pointers allowed, opponent’s field goal and three-point percentage, and free throws made. Morant gets to the line over five times a game and shoots nearly 80 percent from the charity stripe.

Nba Player Prop Bets

Memphis is a -1 point road favorite while the Moneyline is razor-thin at -116 and -102 for Washington. The FanDuel Sportsbook’s total is at a chubby 235.5, so expect this one to be a shootout with the Grizzlies having to score to keep up with the give and take Wizards.

Atlanta Hawks John Collins vs. Miami Heat

Player

The Bet: Under 18.5 Points (-118)

John Collins has seen his scoring average down from his past two seasons. The Hawks big man is averaging just over 18 a game after 19.5 and 21.6 PPG in his past two seasons. Collins is taking the fewest shots per game since his rookie season three years ago and is playing nearly three minutes less than he was last season.

The 23-year-old forward is actually coming off his second-highest scoring performance of the year, hanging 34 on the Heat on Sunday. His big game against Miami is actually a good thing as the Heat are not the type of defense that will get lit up twice in a row. The South Beach bunch are giving up the sixth-fewest points in the league, allowing 109.3 per game. They also excel on the defensive end, where Collins plays well on offense. Miami is the league’s top-team defending the paint, giving up just over 40 points per game. Bam Adebayo’s defense is also top-ten in limiting opponents’ two-point field goal percentage to only 51.9 percent. Expect the D to shutdown Collins after he went off on them on Sunday.

Nba Props For Tonight Games

The Hawks are a +3.5 point road dog with a +136 Moneyline, so Atlanta could hang around in this one. FanDuel’s Sportsbook has the middle-ground total at 222, balancing Miami’s solid defense with the Hawks’ poor D.
